Get a 27" IPS panel IMHO.

This is 144hz and 1080p, meh.

go read about lightboost and why people have been selling their overclocked 1440p IPS panels for this display

Has anyone received theirs yet? If so, How thin are the bezels? I was looking for a monitor to use in a surround setup and am definitely considering this one.

Right now, I have an Acer H236HL and Asus MX239H which are IPS Panels. The Acer has the thinnest bezel I have ever seen but I am definitely open to trying something else. =) Thanks.

There are smaller bezels out there for sure, particularly some of the samsung 120hz screens which were tiny when debezelled, but not all the samsungs have lightboost. This is vega's debezelled setup using these:

He also removed the AG filter. He sells them in the FS section with the AG filter pre removed if you want.

I could never bring myself to like multi-monitor setups. The bars and the misalignment of the images... I just can't get past it. I'm very happy I had a chance to use a friends 3 monitor setup in surround before I was about to do it a while back. It made me realize that what looks good in pictures and videos, might not look so great in person. Now obviously it comes down to preference, as some people swear by such setups. Though I guess this for me only applies to media/games as I very much enjoy multi-monitor for productivity, though who wouldn't?

These looks like sweet monitors for the price. 1440p would have made me pull out a credit card without thinking perhaps, but then again, the price wouldn't be this low if it were 1440p tongue.gif

Good find OP, hope you like your monitor and others got a chance at a good deal.

I set it up last Friday, it came with all the accessories/original box. No dead or bright pixels.

The colors on this monitor are horrible out of the box, I have been playing around with settings and I downloaded an ICM file that helped. I need to set up my old monitor next to it and compare the colors/play around with them until it's what I like.

I'm not sure if it's the colors being off or the PWM that it uses that is kind of messing with my eyes. It is also very bright at 144hz, again adjusting for colors/contrast is helping but I haven't found a sweet spot yet.

I haven't tried the 2d lightboost hack or any fps games. I will probably have time to play BF3 tonight.

As cool as the Lightboost hack is, I just couldn't give up the color quality of an IPS for a horrible TN panel. I would LOVE to see someone like BenQ come out with a 24" 1920x1200 IPS @ 120Hz. I would be all over that. I would actually drop down from my Overlord 1440{ @ 120Hz for one.

Not only do TNs have their issues but that lightboost hack makes things so much worse.

You can't argue that it comes at the expense of image quality. I might see the point if all that I did was play Quake 3. I don't own a high end pc for my games to look sub-par.

I own one of these displays and its great for 3d vision but for 2d gaming I still use my 120hz catleap.
