Hope XFX get their act together.
If you're planning on OC'ing a Vapor-X i'll say choose a HIS 7970 (any type) or 7970 IceQ X2, they have reference boards and OC well. Recently sapphire has been distributing pretty low ASIC quality cards for the Vapor-Xs

Sorry if I'm reviving a month old thread, but my older 5870 is dying and they won't even respond via ticket email. I filed the ticket and it's been over 10 days with 0 responses via their system. I will never buy an XFX card again, the store in which I bought the cards no longer carry XFX products (Micro-center) and the 6950 is currently selling for $150 dollars I wonder why...

Asking about a Question about your Warranty and asking for an RMA are two completely different things, but cool story bro thumb.gif

It's been pending since the 19th, how much longer do you think it'll go? through June?

It looks like XFX has declined over the past couple of years - ever since they went ATI, things seem to have gone south for the company.

I never had a problem with XFX, never had a card die on me, my support tickets are always answered on the same day! XFX Support has been great!

Maybe it's just your attitude, you give them a load of jip, I'm sure they won't handle your support tickets seriously.

Ive been more than polite and patient yet 6 months and three cards all with the same problem. Before their migration their customer support was fine now its taken a hit. All this despite the fact they have serious quality control issues which negates good customer service either way.

Oh waiting on my 4th RMA to be checked out and praying they give me a reference version like I asked.

i literally just receiving an RMA'd XFX 7970, today. I agree that their support site is ridiculous but i was able to find a phone number for their support in CA and i talked to a tech on the phone, instead of doing the email correspondance...

i really think being able to talk to this guy, on the phone, really helped the situation... my RMA was approved, the card was received and tested within 2 days of them receiving it and then sent from their location 2 days after the test... i was expecting them to have it for weeks.

get your ticket number from the support site and give them a ring, it may make all the difference in the world.

Could you Please PM me that phone number? When I called I got a message saying they no longer took phone calls support. Which actually is a reason in itself as to why I thought this company went down a notch in terms of Quality Support. And for the people who have doubt or wanna defend this company like it's going against AMD or something (Stinger 5150) Just try support from another brand and you'll see a night and day difference

Where did anyone, particularly myself as you've been giving me a hard time, say anything about Over-Clocking? And getting something for nothing? It's called "Life-time Warranty" that is miserably being misrepresented. My brother owns a 660 EVGA card, and after one phone call with their support you'll see the difference between the support EVGA is giving their product and XFX. And that was the Sole reason when buying my second card I went to EVGA but Do you work for XFX or something? You take this way to seriously as if it's bad mouthing your family or something. If you could read you'd see that nobody said anything about overclocking bro thumb.gif In fact the original poster said he "NEVER overclocked his card" but you failed to read that didn't you bro?
