Picking between these couple mice.

Thread Starter
Hi so im looking for a gaming mouse and im currently using a hp mouse taht came with my old hp rig - http://www.meritline.com/hp-usb-3-button-optical-mouse-ky619aa---p-81859.aspx?source=fghdac&gclid=CM_i7si51bYCFQtyQgod0xUAcQ

its very small and low to the mousepad and i LOVE that. though because this mouse isnt very ergonomic i find my hand cramping pretty hard after long sesions. So enough said about that, here is my criteria.

grip: swipe/palm (though i have small hands i can palm small claw grip mice)

sensitivity in game - pretty darn high compared to my freinds though they ahve gaming mice with adjustable dpi.

games - mostly fps games, and minecraft

do i mind prediction - id rather not have it

other info - i need a mouse tahts small but also i like mice that are low and not very tall.

so atm the couple mice im looking at seriously are the razer abyssus, the rat 7 (which i loved though it got bad reviews), kinda the corsair raptor, and the zowie evo black ec2. im open to other offers aswell

That mouse is pretty low, I can't think of anything that small. Ignore the obligatory Deathadder recommendations, it's way too large if you're looking for something in that size range.

The CM Spawn is probably the lowest mouse I can think of. The Roccat Savu isn't that low but it might still be small enough. Maybe an Abyssus or Roccat Lua? Are you looking for side buttons?

How small of a mouse is wanted? Zowie would probably be your best bet...
If a voice communication program or whatever that caused those C.P.U. usage spikes would not cause problems, I would recommend the Spawn.

The R.A.T. 7 got bad reviews? MaximumPC thinks otherwise. It gave it a "10 Kick Ass" score when it reviewed it. It is still on the best of teh best list. But, it is subjective, so maybe it is hard to give a mouse a 10 score and justify it. But really, I see so many other mice trying to adopt some of teh R.A.T.'s signature looks.

"This is a bad-ass mouse. The $100 price tag puts the R.A.T. at the higher end of the gaming mouse spectrum, but you're not going to find a mouse that's more feature-packed or customizable than this. "

The R.A.T.3 now has the 3090 sensor, so you might like that.

The Spawn has built in memory, so all you really need the software for is if you want to bind buttons. Once you have set it up how you like it, just uninstall the software. I have one, and it's a nice little mouse. A bit too small for me, just got it's replacement today:

It's a bigger mouse, but you won't find a more comfortable one. IMO of course. Really liking it atm. biggrin.gif

I think the spawn app is robust enough to be par with the common gaming mice, unlike the trainwreck I saw on the corsair M60.
I also think the performance is pretty top notch if you use a black mat and select the right firmware.
The only downside would be the click delay issue reported by some users.
