Computer crashes, monitor changes to a random solid color?

First of all this ONLY happens with minecraft for some reason (but sometimes I get display driver stopped responding in other games).

While playing minecraft for a amount of time (can be anywhere from 2 mins to 5 hours) my computer would just crash and show 2 random solid colours on the monitors.
I've had this problem for about a year with minecraft but the display driver crash problem is only recent. I'm stumped on what to do because I've clean installed graphics drivers, reinstalled windows many times and completely rebuilt my computer. I've tried downclocking the GPU and CPU but that did nothing.

Is this just a faulty card or is there something I'm missing?

Man that's weird....i'm trying to think what would be the problem...
If you have already reinstall Windows and gpu drivers then the game itself must be the problem...

I thought it would be the game too but I don't know anyone else who has this problem with the game and I figured the 570 is a pretty popular card so it shouldn't just be me.

I am having the same issue and I am using 570 too. I used to suffer this problem, and then somehow I fixed it, and after not playing a while and having minecraft updated the problem occurred again and I can't fix it (I don't remember how I fixed it too). I made searches and it seems like one common trait of most people suffering this random solid color crash is gtx 570. frown.gif
