Radeon HD 7850 vRAM won't underclock when idle and running 2 screens

Thread Starter
Just got a HD 7850 (was aiming to get a 7770, but decided to spend an extra $35) and basically when when i run 2 monitors (which is most of the time) the vRAM doesn't underclock, just stays running at full speed, wouldn't bother me except it adds an extra 15-20*c to the temps. I unhooked a screen and the clock rate for the GDDR5 goes down to about 150mhz and the temps drop by 15-20*c like i said.

Is there a way to enable it to underclock itself when idle and 2 screen are still running, or is AMD still struggling in this department, because i also had this problem with my HD 6870 in 2011.
last card was a GTX670 (RIP) and it would underclock to 300mhz when idle and had 2 monitors hooked up, so it should be possible

Its not a problem. Thats way amd works with multi monitor. The only way to downclock your gpu is to disable powerplay with msi AB.
