Nevermind, I'm an idiot.... DERP!

Hi All,

I just got in my new motherboard and CPU but need a new liquid cooling mounting plate before I can get rocking. I don't have a spare heatsink laying around and I would like to just get the computer OS up and computing simply to asses any install issues.

Provided I'm not running prime95 or doing any strenuous work, am I OK to boot things up or should I just be patient (never a strong suit of mine LOL) and wait for the plate?

Thanks in advance! cheers!

Be patient! You can try booting into Windows without a heat sink but it won't go well, your PC will shut off immediately. Did the CPU not come with a cooler?

oh man, I'm an idiot. It came with a heatsink. I thought the box was smaller. Disregard. DERP!

Don't try to boot the computer without a cpu cooler it will shut down almost instantly.
