I know this is slightly off topic, but if anyone is interested in the MSI R7970 TF OC BE cards, here are my unboxing pictures!
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Fragile:

Shipping box. Card was nicely packed, surrounded by nice big air bags to stop it from shifting.

Box:

Inside the box:

Card pics:

As was posted above, the card DOES have the AMD logo on the PCB (Rev 1.0), so it is a reference card.

That's not true! The reference AMD pcb is a different pcb with a different code, 109-C38637-00. The pcb used for your card is an alternate pcb that "follows" the reference design.

What's important for me is that it will fit the many gpu waterblocks that only support reference type design thumb.gif

Sorry yes, this is true. But as long as it follows reference design and fits reference full-cover waterblocks, I'm happy!

^^True, that board is fully compatible with blocks designed for the ref pcb. I wasn't implying differently, just pointing out the distinction. Imo, it's important to recognize the difference. thumb.gif

confirmed 100%:

Heatkiller 79x0 works with this MSI 7970TF BE - R7970 TF 3GD5/OC BE

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=82700&vpn=R7970%20TF%203GD5%2FOC%20BE&manufacture=MSI%2FMicroStar

As well i took the msi cooler and put it on my XFX 7970 ref card as well, works fine.

If you can't find ref. cards(they are pretty rare) Another option is always Asus DC2/top cards or matrix if you're lucky enough to find one. Or MSI lightning. At least EK has fullcover blocks for those cards.
