Gpu clock boost advertised question...

Say a vendor lists the gpu boost being 1137mhz. Is that a guarantee it will hit that speed and go no lower? Or can it drop off once hit depending on the situation?

It will hit that speed when necessary, it will drop lower when not needed.
There is now a setting in EVGA precision to lock the clock at the max speed.
