Best Bios for ASUS HD 7970 DC2 Top?

I'm getting terrible performance from this thing, whats the best bios to try?

It would definitely help to explain in what way you're getting terrible performance.

Are you getting lower FPS than expected?
Is the card not overclocking well?
If you are overclocking, what are the clocks? Benchmark scores?
Are you getting dropped frames or low GPU usage?

other questions:

What drivers are you using?
What are you using to o/c your card with?
What is your CPU clocked to? Is it Prime95 100% stable?

There are a lot of questions to answer before deciding to switch BIOS - Generally the ASUS bios are the ones that people like to switch to as they are done quite well. What are you expecting to get out of a new bios? Higher voltage? Updated bios?

The FPS is very jumpy, for example I get 100-170 FPS in crysis 3 when standing still and looking around, but if I were to start running around it would drop as low at 15 FPS. (Everything is maxed)

I cant seem to overclock the card more than 15mhz on the core without getting a non-stop driver crash resulting in a hard reset to recover.

I've tried using 13.1 and 13.3 drivers.

First I used ASUS GPU Tweak, then tried the AMD OverDrive Utility in the CCC, then lastly I tried MSI Afterburner. Uninstalling, or disabling the others as I went.

All three had the same result, 1015 stable, 1020 not stable. Stock vcore at 1.17 (Seems unable to be changed with any of those programs).
Changing the vcore on MSI Afterburner was not reflected on any of the monitoring apps (Speedfan/HWMonitor) (I have since unistalled Speedfan being told its not that great).

I sometimes get texture flicker, where a particular texture on the screen would constantly flicker rapidly, or a texture would be stretched like a needle across the screen. At first I assumed it was a bad driver, so I went to the beta 3 driver and still had the same issue.

I have the same card and was looking into unlocking/OCing the card. I've found some info stating you can crossflash the card to the ASUS 7970 Matrix Platinum bios, which will default the core to 1100 and the mem to 1650. It also brings up the selectable vcore to 1.256v:

Now I can overclock it to 1200Mhz - and voltage control is opened. But works with just Gpu Tweak.

My card can do 1125 core and 1600 mem with no voltage increase, so it should be able to run the Matrix Platinum settings. I've been able to flash the bios, but can't get the AMD drivers to install. I've since flashed back to stock bios, for now...
