Now with a config file for solo_collatz tasks 7950's are finally running faster than 7870 XT's, right now 7870 XT's at stock speed seem to be making almost 800k PPD and 7950's at 1000 MHz are making a bit under 1 million PPD. 7970's should easily go over 1 million PPD.

edit. GTX 480 also seems to be running pretty fast with config file, about 550k PPD. 5870 isn't quite as good, only about 300k PPD

Giving this a whirl just for the hell of it.

I'll report back later on how long they take.
It bogs my GUI down a bit but nothing major.
Yeah, I'm only rocking the HD4000 right now. I know...

Right now looks like 1 WU could take ~3.6-3.8hours.

E: Haha, this is actually a little bit productive.

The WU that took less time to compute was done during the night when I wasn't using the computer.
~53-55k PPD and wonder what's the points per watt like. GPU-Z shows ~14.0-14.2w for the GPU Power at 1550Mhz.
Pretty viable option for getting a bit more points if you have an Ivy Bridge (should probably work on Haswell too?) while not adding hell of a lot to overall power consumption. That is if you have a discrete GPU.
Making the GPU visible if you have dGPU is quite easy if you guys didn't know. Just create a fake monitor using Win7 and extend the desktop.
