I probably would have gone blower style if I was planning on running 2 but I wasn't at first, I got the first one then saw the combo deal for 2 and newegg let me buy the second card to get the deal.
So a new case is def. on the list but back to motherboards for a second, I don't know if someone replied and I missed it but are there any motherboards that have good spacing for 3 cards? (ATX or E-ATX)
might be too late now, but had you posted in the TJ08-E owners club thread
under cases, we coulda tried to help you sooner
granted for SLi, blower style cooler is definitely recommended, but you also have other options. you may not know that Silverstone has made a new fan called AP182
which bumps the airflow from 130CFM of the AP181 to 170CFM (2000RPM top speed instead of 1200RPM) I would think that 170CFM should be enough to cool down anything in a case as small as the TJ08-E (even SLi)
also you mentioned having the exhaust fan on full blast. that may not be the most ideal way of doing it. you want to force more of the cooling air to exhaust out from the GPU section of the case rather then the CPU side of the case so the exhaust fan on full blast is actually reducing the static pressure available to cool the GPU section of the case. you could have benefited from ehume's advice on the proper use of a nibbler and made the GPU section of the case cooler. by opening up the square vent holes on the GPU section of the case.
anyway good luck in your new case.
