My First Gaming PC Build - Page 2

Custom loop water cooling seems daunting to me too. The Swiftech H220 is kind of somewhere in between, a prebuilt composed of parts more or less like custom loop parts, and can be cracked open if desired later.

Yeah I had the same sentiment. I wanted very good cooling, but lacked the know-how and time to build my own custom loop. So i decided to go with a CLC from Corsair and I have to say I am very happy with the performance I have seen.

Idling around 9 degrees Celsius in a room that is about 20C is awesome thumb.gif

I'm all for the custom water loop not only for the cooing potential but the looks as well. Its just I wouldn't trust myself with water around a brand new rig.

Then I would recommend either doing the research and learn what you need to know to make a good custom loop, or go for a CLC. Either one will give you good results if installed correctly. All up to you to decide how much work you want to do and how much you want to pay.

I will probably do the research for the custom loop, the only thing I can't decide on is the case frown.gif

If it were me I would be getting the Phantom 820, you cannot underestimate the awesomeness of tool-less everything and having USB, ESATA, controller, etc. on the top of the case

EDIT: Plus the HDD bay covers are sweet. Will make the build look super clean

Get the Phantom 820, I have the case and it is the best case I have had!

Everything i'm seeing is people are very satisfied with it. You can't go wrong with well made products thumb.gif

I'd throw out the GTX 680 and get a 7970 instead, it's a much better card in every aspect. thumb.gif
