XFX 7950 Modifications [Picture heavy]

Thread Starter
Hey everyone. Recently, I've gotten into case and hardware modding. While I don't know much, I'm still trying to learn as much as I can.

I've made this thread as a build log for the modifications I'm going to apply to my XFX 7950. So far, the modifcations include:

-Altering the Red Sideplate
-Making a custom fitted acrylic backplate

I will have EpicAMDGamer's expertise and help with these modifications, as he knows more about mod fabrication and application than I do.

Part 1: Sideplate mod

I've always been a fan of the old XFX sideplates. Something about their bold white text and symbol on that stark black piece of metal just gets me going [See picture 1]. Alas, the 7900 series of cards has been replaced with a rather ugly redsideplate [See picture 2] - and they've even removed their beautiful logo.

However, my good friend EpicAMDGamer just so happened to have one of the older XFX styled cards and was willing to donate it's side to me. He did all the work, because, again, he has more knowledge on mods than I do. I'm very please with it, and I hope fans of the older style XFX sides are too [See pictures 3, 4, and 5]

Part 2: Backplate
