Arctic Cooling Xtreme II and my new hatred for the company

Thread Starter
I bought the cooler thinking it was universal (granted kinda ages ago, 480 age). Then i looked for a compatibility kit at the site and found it listed as discontinued, only to find an exact same cooler with multiple gpu compatibilities, the Xtreme III, but hey i have to buy the entire heatsink again!
Why don't have just the accessories separate?

Never buying nothing from that again.

It's not their fault that you failed to do any research on it before buying it.

Could have looked at the specs before buying, not all coolers fir everything, for that reason they prolly won't give you a refund or anything.

Agree with you. Noctua, Thermalright, etc has upgrade mounting kits for their coolers. Some of us call it "Good Customer Support". Sadly the "cut and run" mentality like you are experiencing is all too common and the only way to combat it is as you are doing. Boycott them and let others know about it. thumb.gif
