Peculiar Results from 2600k when disabling HT

I turned off HT on my 2600k to see what kind of difference it would make in both performance and overclock ability. When I went to do a stability test after disabling HT, the results made me raise an eyebrow. Perhaps someone could clear these up for me?

So here are the two pictures of the stability tests. The variables in both tests were ALL the same except for HT had been disabled and Vcore had been lowered from 1.335v (HT on) to 1.300v (HT off). Does the fact it's an average of 8 gigaflops faster to have HT disabled surprise anyone else, or is that how it should be?

HT ON @ 1.335v

HT OFF @ 1.300v

It's normal... linpack testing actually runs worse with HT enabled than with it disabled biggrin.gif
