I'm using a 8350 with after market cooler and Arctic Silver 5 thermal compound and am getting 38-39 degrees in the BIOS is that good or bad because the cooler is running loud? What is the stock temp for that cpu? Mind you I haven't overclocked it at all.
The specs I'm using are:

MOBO: Asrock 970de3-u3s3
RAM:8gb of Kingston ram (1333mhz)
GPU: gts450 gigabyte 1gb of ram

cpu cooler: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO( 4pin fan header.

Case: Fractal design arc midi r2 (with x4 140m running whisper quiet)

Please help me with this thanks.

Those are decent temps for Australia weather. Give the thermal paste a few days to "cure" and you should see a drop of about 1-2c

Oh ok cool. But its also starting to get cold here too. Also is Arctic Silver 5 good. One more question when should I be worried that the temp are getting to hot??

I've only used AMD cpu's and from what I have learned over the years is that you do not want them to go over 55c (to maximize the life span of the cpu), but then again AMD rates their Phenoms to withstand ~70c

Arctic Silver 5 is good stuff, especially if applied properly (1 grain of cooked rice sized amount)

my phenom II 965 is running at about 45c, been like that for the past 4 years. Just clean out the dust from the heatsink and fan once every few months.
