Its not about Gigabyte or Asus or ASRock board.The thing that is in charge for drive connection is chipset and every Z77 board have same chipset.
BUT i saw some benchmark where Asus had better sata results,BUT it could also be that reviewer didnt disable c-states on Gigabyte board or test wasnt made with same components.

By the way this was review that push me toward Asus,after i had great Gigabyte board.
