please re-setting cpu frequency !

i have heard this is to do with overclocking but i havnt bothered overclocking my machine. its just in default bios settings.

please help !

im talking bout the error msg that sometimes appears "please re-setting cpu frequency ! "

also if that doesnt appear i get a continious long beep, pause, long beep !!! I cant find that kinda beep anywhere on any bios pages.2

Somebody help, please !

this is where i got my pc from - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=110026851334.

When i load up my bios, at the top it says "Phoenix - Award Bios Workstations" So god knows which bios. Rite now im in the library cos pc is broken

Reset the bios by taking out the battery for about 3 min

if that doesnt work set fsb to 400 mhz

There should be a jumper on your motherboard right next to your cmos battery, and is sitting on 2 of 3 pins kinda like l l l move it over to look like this l l l sorry for the weak graphics LOL but that will reset your BIOS to defaults, then move it back to the position it was in to begin with. Try that and let us know what she does.

Reset the BIOS by either using the jumper (nromally located at bottom of board) or by removing the battery for 5 mins.
