Overlocking Sapphire Vapor X 7970 GHz Ed 6GB

Thread Starter
Hello,

I was wondering if it would be possible to OC my GPU, or if it is really worth it. I have the Sapphire Vapor X 7970 GHz Ed 6GB, and with the dual BIOS switched on I am at 1100 MHz GPU Core Clock, 1500 MHz Memory Clock and my voltage (VDDC) is at 0.875 V.

I don't really know too much about OCing the GPU. I only have OCed my CPU. Anyhow, how far can I go on the voltage that I stated above? I am using Sapphire Trixx for the fans, but there is an OC ing feature on the program.

Thank you in advance for your help, suggestions and advice.

Hi,

I am also looking for some pointer.

7970 6gb vapor x OC on water using Trixx.

Stable at 1250/1500, testing with crysis 3. temp below 40c at 99%.

With max VDDC and Board Power Li, I cannot get stable OC at 1260 and above.

Try messing with memory clock, but still unstable.

So is there something I am not doing right?

Thank you,
Flame Princess
