Huge difference, guide me!

Thread Starter
Got a ASUS Zonar DG for my simple 2.1 setup because I was having some audio stutter(turned out to be HDD write back issue with my chipset) but I thought taking it off the integrated audio would do the trick. Anyways, I hadn't had a working PC for over a week and when I got it up and running again I could immediately tell a difference of clarity and quality. It was amazing the difference from a $30 card.

So with that change it has gotten me interested in learning about audio. I have read some of the threads on here but find myself getting a bit lost. Can you help me or point me in the direction of guides or what have you for learning the audio ins and outs? I don't plan on making it a career but I would love to have a working knowledge of it.

I don't know how i missed this website but it seems to be what I was looking for. Anything extra is welcome though!

Well my purpose right now is to learn. I am comfortable with my current setup for the most part. When I get the cash to buy a new system I will work in an audio budget then.
