[BGR] Study: The MacBook Pro with Boot Camp is the world’s most reliable Windows PC - Page 7

This is why this article is terrible

" The most reliable Windows PC in the world wasn’t even designed to run on Window"

http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/ < notice how it's on the official Apple website....You do the math, obviously it was designed to run on a Mac. Same hardware essentially as well.

Bootcamp was designed to run on Mac. The article says Windows wasn't designed to run on a Mac, which it wasn't.

The lack of knowledge of what a logical fallacy is hurts. Your experience is not the overall experience. Saying oh but my xxxx is fine so the study or thought of xxxx is invalid. I see this way too many times.

I saw someone say that their Bootcamp setup and install caused them issues, well mine has caused zero and has been running for a solid two years. I switch back and forth quite often and find it convenient to have both environments for the different tools I need to use. I can't say Bootcamp is without issue though as I am only one single user and as such is the other person. You need a large set of data to come to any theoretical conclusions.

To each their own, but please stop using the fallacies to justify a claim you are making.

At this point thought I think the thread should be locked to stop the perpetuity of stupidity.

Windows was designed to run on the hardware though..All a mac is is PC HARDWARE with OSX and maybe a couple extra tweaks like their custom bios set up.

THIS JUST IN OS X RUNS BETTER ON WINDOWS DESIGNED PC! (MOSTLY BECAUSE MACs ARE SLOW JUNK!)

This comment from the article made me want to shoot myself... lol.
"TEERap MoneyGang • 7 hours ago
Hahahaha that's too funny. Glad I'd dropped windows hardware for a MacBook Pro years ago"

ITS ALL THE SAME HARDWARE!!! ITS RUNNING OFF OF AN INTEL SOCKET/CPU. GOD... MAC USERS DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT COMPUTERS.

Never considered an Alienware laptop (or anything by them but...)

I recently bought a Alienware m15x that was destroyed and I gutted it, put new parts in it (SSD, 7970M, 16gb DDR3 1600, etc...) and it is a ridiculous beast. I have the Macbook Pro Retina 15" MAXED ($4k) and that Alienware was less than 1/2 the price, upgradeable and whips my macbooks behind.

Apparently the PCs I build are more reliable than anything on the market...I rarely, and I mean rarely (once a year, maybe) run into a minor issue. I build my rigs, and then they run...for years. I don't know, I've been doing builds for people since I was 13, and to this day have never had one single complaint or service call. All I can fathom, is that since Macs cost a pretty penny, people tend to look after them better. I mean, I still have working Pentium 1 era stuff kicking around...

My macbook is faster at running an OS than your PC. Macs aren't that slow.

I don't quite think you get this.

There are just as many ignorant Mac fans as there are ignorant Windows fans.
lol, no.
terrible logic fail, your avatar is what i am doing rig now.

mac fans ARE more ignorant in general.

the only thing macs can do better is iOS development. This isnt worth 50-100% markup for most users. as the old saying goes, a fool and hismoney is easily parted. this goes hand in hand with why mac fans are clueless. seriously just read some of the comments in various mac articles, and en come back and tell me i am wrong. you will not be able to honestly do it.

For their price point? They're incredibly slow. I'm sure you knew this though, who buys a new computer without researching first?

Real fast bro

http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-3740QM-vs-Intel-Core-i5-3570K

wink.gif I wonder how much you spent on your crappy macbook.

Not to mention the lack of an overclock, on the CPU side alone...Pathetic, like I said. My current set up would cost someone no more then $650 nowadays. Your macbook is twice or three times that price....Waste. Of. Money.

From experience only ignorant people buy Macs. "LYKE OMG THEY NEVER GET VIRUSES!!!! LYKE OMGZ DEY R PRETTIFUL!!" < their thoughts, and probably yours

The fans are just as bad as each other. That's why you constantly see low-end-laptop-owning people buying laptops often. They're filled with malware to the point where they dont even know it can be fixed with a simple disc.

No side is better than another, they both have idiots in them. The vast majority of mac users buy the MBP or whatever, because they just want something reliable that has good support and wont need upgraded for a long time.
