Due to the increased thickness of the h80i, it can compete and come close to its bigger brother, the h100i in a lot of scenarios. @ stock or with mild to average OC's, there isn't a massive difference, a few degrees usually. But the more you push the OC the more the gap seems to widen IIRC.

Seems to be about right. As clocks go up, the gap seems to widen a bit. And when you replace the fans with nice ones, the ability to run 4 good fans on the h100i will really set it apart. But then again, thats a significant investment extra, compared to the extra cooling your getting.

I like how the smaller but thicker rad allows the H80i to have less compatibility issues with fitting in a case. Very versatile unit for an AIO considering the performance and size.

Edit> also, you posted for advice but couldn't seem to wait any longer than about 10 to 15 minutes I guess. Itchy trigger finger eh? tongue.gif
