Thread Starter
He's staying busy. I don't know if he is working on a new one or not, but he's still keeping up with Unreal Cinema, writing guides and plenty other stuff. He stays pretty active in a few other threads more often then not. You can catch up with him in the thread my mod list is compiled in, (It's for his guide).

Nice thread! :-D

It seems thread title should be Guides to Creating and Customizing Your ENB's for Skyrim !
Although ENB was updated to 0.163 for GTA4 couple of months ago (it was stuck at 0.082 for GTA4 v1.0.4.0 for several years), nobody seems to care modding GTA4 anymore.

Anyway, I used to use ENB's built-in OGSSAA (aka downsampling) extensively with great results in GTA4.
In enbseries.ini file,
Code:
ForceAntialiasing=true
DisplayWidth=2560 (native horizontal resolution of monitor)
DisplayHeight=1600 (native vertical resolution of monitor)
AntialiasingUpScale=1
resulted in 2x2 OGSSAA aka 4xOGSSAA = 5120x3200 resolution which provided fantastic visual fidelity.

Several screenshots of GTA4 with 4xOGSSAA are here.

My question is does ENB for Skyrim not support OGSSAA (downsampling) anymore ?? (All I can see is newly added Edge AA in enbseries.ini And quality of this edge AA looks quite poor making me wonder why Boris even bothered to waste his time implementing this poor quality AA.. I'd rather use SMAA injector.)

There are differences in the various game engines. Which is why you got different types of AA enabled in various games.
Boris is limited to what engine resources he can access after all.
If he got full access then he could work some serious magic, but sadly the developers do not want to release full source code to the community, due to all the legal issues.

Looking sharp and dangerous!
But get on them shadows! tongue.gif (Sorry had to say it hehehe)

And in other news.... almost ready to release my preset! The beta test is going well nobody having any serious issues so far!

Not really. The best part of OGSSAA is "compatibility" across various engines and 3D APIs currently available. (Unlike SGSSAA, it doesn't rely on MSAA sample pattern either).
This is one of those reasons why GTA4 ENB supported OGSSAA.

Anyway, it seems Boris dropped OGSSAA support.. perhaps due to its brute force requirements... And went with cheap Edge AA. Oh well. If we wanted cheap, fast food AA, we have SMAA/FXAA anyway.
