Damn Time Warner and their monopoly in the Buffalo area...
I would kill for that even at $110. I am paying $60 for 1.5 down, when I actually get .80 down. Drives me insane when people gripe about getting a decent speed at a price thats not insane. Yeah $110 is a bit steep, but I think I am getting shafted far more than most people.

I have never had Time Warner as they dont offer service where I live , with that said I have a 20mb DSL connection that cost me 60 dollars a month , i dont have to have phone service , free wireless (which is the way it should be) , free 24hr tech support , free install , hell i have even had a tech help me set up their modem/router for a minecraft server . I have heard so many horror stories about TW , I fell for the people that have no other choice than to go that route, they should be a model company of how NOT to conduct business

Do they call you every freakin hour of the day to "remind" you that your payment is due in another month? Be glad you don't have TWC....

I won't have a drop of pity for Comcast/etc. when that time comes; and I have a feeling it's coming much sooner than everyone thinks. I think that Google's ultimate goal (aside from getting this additional tremendous stream of revenue of course) is to get a reaction from the other ISPs. They got that, but not to the extreme that they're probably hoping for. Soon enough they'll realize that they're going to have to blow this up into a national rollout and will announce multiple new states every month. I honestly feel that the $140B estimate that "analysts" have given is a HUGE overstatement, especially with Google pulling off the $1 acquisition for Provo's fiber network. Google knows how to bargain; AT&T/etc. obviously don't and that's what's going to slaughter them. AT&T complains about local governments bending over for Google, but have AT&T ever offered anything near what Google has offered? Free service to all government organizations? Great, low, competitive, fair prices to residents? No data caps? No/low cost initial setup fees? (The $300 initial setup fee for the $70 plan was waived thanks to such agreements). I thought that (according to AT&T and TWC) their customers don't need 1gbps service? Wha happen Warner? Did something change your mind? You seem awfully stressed out and desperate for a similar deal for not being interested in serving your customers and being so sure that they don't need faster connections.

Time Warner has a monopoly where I live. I'm out in the country pretty much where I live, and the ONLY company that can provide any cable services is Time Warner.

We added phone to our package because it REDUCED the price of our bill. Yet it sits unhooked and never used because why the **** do I need a land line.

Armstrong has their building 6 minutes up the road yet they don't offer service in my area. ******* baffling.

I get 15mb down and 1mb up. Ridiculous now that I know they offer 50mbps down, but it's "not available" in my area. I've done plenty of fiber runs on telephones and the related to know that is a bunch of BS. I NEVER EVER EVER get below my related speed. It's usually faster than what I'm rated for. I live around NO ONE. The people out here aren't downloading like I am, hundreds and hundreds of gigabytes a month. So other users causing traffic through lines is not a valid excuse.

I know full well the current runs of wire to my area are capable of providing us 50mbps down. And my RIDICULOUSLY slow upload speed is annoying as ****. I've had to rent out multiple seedboxes just to keep reasonable ratios on private torrent trackers. I would have never been able to with my current internet speeds.

Only good thing is I have NO data cap.

Bad thing, tons of problems with TV service. Random screen blackouts, the specific channel will just be black for hours while every other channel will work. Eventually it will come back on whenever it feels it wants to. Tons of video freezing and breakup. This is all on their end and I'm ******* tired of it.

The next phone call to them when this **** continues is going to be me telling them to go **** themselves if they don't fix the issues I pay around $150 a month for. I'll just go without cable service and completely cancel everything with them. They don't take threats very well and always end up kissing your ass to keep you as a customer.

I threatened to cancel and they said "Oh okay, when would you like that effective?" They don't give a damn man.

on your cable box, go to a channel that gives you an issue, and if your box has a cable card in the back (there will be a small screwed on door) hold select on your remote for 10 seconds then hit up. if it doesn't and is NOT a motorola then hit down instead of up. if it is motorola, power it off then immediately hit select.

you should be able to see errors on the tuners and your levels. you should on the QAM tuners and FDC power be between -12>+8 and on the RDC power be between 30>52.

there might be a problem with your drop and/or outlets. and do you just sit there pissy all day over your service or do you actually call and ask for a tech to look at the issue?

Comcast is THE best service provider in the us. They give the best speeds. Now you dont bash intel when they charge a premium for being the fastest, why bash comcast for doing the same?
