Need help with Z77 picking, very urgent!

Should've stated before, my budget would be around 135-140$ and not anything beyond it. Thank you! smile.gif

P.S: I know there are a lot of threads that have been made about this and I went over all of them but I just can't seem to have the right choice right now. I'm also limited with budget and the reason I'm also considering a micro-atx board is because I have fractal 3000 design core Middie Tower, planning to get a NH-D14 with it aswell.

I really hope you could help.

I got a computer about 9 months ago and I didn't know b75m-d3h wasn't made for overclocking. I also bought 3570k, so I now need help with getting a Z77. I don't know which one to get since I have doubts with ASRock Pro4/Pro4-m or ASRock Extreme4/4-m. I have 1 gpu (gtx 670) and I think I'll stick to it but who the hell knows what I'd do in the future.. so I hoped you guys could advice me which one to take.

I hope you guys could help me and again, I know there are many threads but I really hope you can help. Thanks!

i5 3570k (ivy bridge)
msi gtx 670 oc (reference)
fractal design core 3000 black
8GB (4gbX2) kington hyperx blue kit
seasonic psu 620w
ssd 128 gb

P.S: I would also consider buying an Open Box, can anyone tell me their impressions from it? (Newegg's open box), will it miss a lot of essential cables? So far I know I'll have to get the Sli bridge which won't be there but I think I shall have the other equipment from the b75m-d3h box , or am I wrong?

And thanks a lot! smile.gif

The consensus choice 'round these parts is the Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H. It's $135 shipped after $10 MIR, so it won't bust your budget too much...

first of all, thanks for the fast reply! And yes I read many about that mobo but it's too much beyond my budget. My maximum budget would be 135-140 dollars, I was also considering getting the open box for 102$ which is why I also asked if anybody experienced with it. but thanks anyways smile.gif

Would you prefer it rather than the ASRock Extreme4? Talking about temps and overclocking pretty much?
After a rebate card + shipping it should cost 135$ and by the time I make my choice I'm not even sure I'll be on time to get the rebate card tho. I really care about the budget, every 10 dollars matter

The Gigabyte UD3H is far superior to the ASRock Extreme4. The latter uses antiquated low-quality D-PAK mosfets, which are not conducive to good overclocking performance. It's really not even close.

If you were set on getting an ASRock board for some reason, the lowest model that could possibly be recommended is the Extreme6.

Just went over it, seems to me like a nice offer, did you have experience with it so far? and what's the average overclock I would reach with an extreme4, because I'll have to take time to consider it due to my budget

Ok, and if I already get the bored how are the temps, are they good? I mean I planned getting a nh-d14, and if I'm going beyond my budget I'd rather get something cheaper if I could, or i should stay with the nh-d14? I mean what's the minimum cooling could you guys offer me? I know it's a different subject but it's my last question! and thanks for all the replies! smile.gif
