3570k + Raystorm 240 kit

Hey all just had a quick question. And needed some knowledge on this subject. My good buddy rescently gave me a XSPC Raystorm 750 RX240 Extreme p/p kit to replace the older H100 he gave me sometime back. Anyways he wasnt able to help me set it up but showed me etc and have watched water being setup on several of his so I had an idea...

Anyways question is he told me that the kit wouldnt make a huge diff. vs the H100 maybe 5-7c diffrence due the the ivy bridge having bad heat transfer and I see all the delid threads. Im getting 86c max temps oh and ambient is 32c... running P95 for 15 hours @ 4.5ghz 1.26v. Idle is around 30-36c. And BF3 hits i think 70c after 2-3 hours which is completely fine i know.
I asked my buddy about the temps he said that normal unless I delid the chip...but i dont plan on that and will prolly do a haswell builds couple months after they come out so.

Anyways question was mainly on the temps...Only plan on using this chip for maybe 6-8 more months for gaming then upgrade.

i would just switch to the full loop anyways because with summer coming up the 5-7c difference would matter. It would be good practice as well, but don't let it pull you in cause soon enough you will want a waterblock on the gtx 680. biggrin.gif
