Hey guys. I have a friend come over last night and help me rebuild my PC. I will post pics later showing why. Basically I had a Antec 1200 Case and Switched to a Corsair 500R.

I will show before and after pics shortly.

http://valid.canardpc.com/2785177

There is my validation overclock. Ran stable with wprime (wd 1024) 3x with no blue screen.

Tried 4.2 ghz but failed. Just wanted to post that I am am so stoked to have learned how to overclock and properly build a pc.

Looks good thats a pretty good gaming system even today

The PSU is a bit overkill you really dont need all that power

Which Corsair PSU is that?

Thanks man. Yeah ive had the power supply for a few years. i bought it figuring It would be an investment and future proof my system if i ever look to SLI my 580s etc.

Well Just an update.. I got a BSOD web browsing just now.. Any ideas on what I should do? Maybe need to turn down my overclock to 3.8 ghz?

I would rather be stable then get BSOD.

Cable management still needs an investment of zipties. If you had trouble getting all of the cables from the power supply through the 1 hole, I detached the psu from the case then fed the wires through then reinstalled.

And you need another stick of ram. X58 is triple channel.

the cabling is fine. Looks clean as hell. not really sure how much more he could improve it. everythings hidden and tucked away, and its not an eyesore anymore.

also look at the EX58-UD3R. its different from the other X58 boards

Yup its got 3+1 memory channels like almost every other early X58 board. And in the picture you posted it actually says 3 channel ddr3.

yes..but it's still running in dual channel which is fine. really the bandwith improvement of tri channel will never be noticed by him as all he does is game.
