My watercooled mATX build for college

Thread Starter
I'm planning a mATX build in the Corsair 350d mainly because it supports 2 dual 120mm radiators and its not that flashy since I'll be in a dorm room and don't want it to be too conspicuous. I was looking to have it in the Fractal Design Arc Mini but the bottom hard drive cage was riveted in and is a massive pain to remove, and the 350d is more water cooling friendly.

Case: Corsair 350d
Motherboard: Asus Maximus V Gene Z77
CPU: Intel i7-3770k
GPU: GTX 660Ti (will not be watercooling because I'm going to upgrade it soon, this is from my current rig)
PSU: Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 720W
Radiators: Not sure which ones but will two thick 240mm radiators or one slim and one of the monsta radiators
Pump: MCP 655
Res: MCRes Micro Rev2
Storage: 128GB Samsung 840 for the boot drive from my current rig
500GB Samsung 840 for storing programs/games
CineRaid 4 Bay with 4 3TB Seagate Barracudas

Not entirely sure about the coolant, radiators, fittings or the tubing but those are the smaller things to consider.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions?

The rivets are the fractal are actually aren't that hard to remove if you have a drill. Takes less than 2 minutes. If you don't have a drill the screw driver will work too but take more labor and time lol.

everything looks good but I suggest sticking to distilled water, colored tubing, and killcoil for less maintenance. However, if you do want any sort of coolant or dye then Mayhem is the way to go. EK, Bitspower, and monsoon make great fittings. I haven't had one problem with them. Also for tubing it depends on how big you want it. I personally like 1/2 ID 3/4 OD. Primochill advance LRT , XSPC, and Duralene got some pretty good tubings.

I suggest either two 240 EX xspc radiator or if you have the money then Black Ice SR1 240 radiator. However, if you want then im pretty sure you could do one slim 240 top and a thick one up front or a slim in push/pull

Solid build IMO.

Only things I would personally change would be the boot drive to an 840 PRO and the powersupply to something like a Seasonic or Corsair AX series.

As far as your watercooling accessories, the buy above covered them pretty well.

Would love to see a build in the Corsair 350d. Such a nice case. Super solid rig. Got to agree with illicit1 tho. I would get a different power supply. I had a 750W cooler master silent pro running and overclocked gtx 480 and i5 2500k, it did great and it was VERY quiet overall a great power supply, but I'd still trust seasonic or corsair a bit more. It's not a bad power supply tho so go for it. thumb.gif
