Just finished a new build, have 1 evga 8800gts.
Does anyone know the oldest drivers for this card?
I HATE THE NEW INTERFACE! I run mine on a H.D.T.V. and the options i need just arent there.

On my old 6800gt the drivers would let u control the vert+horz with slider
control to fit your tv. It was the easy way without having to know the res
numbers....and bottom line.........IT WORKED!!

But nooooooo! some putz always has to say...."hey lets change it"
MOTTO FOR LIFE......IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT!!! (sorry just venting)

The horz slider is there but no vert? And thats only when i switch from analog monitor to the H.D.T.V.(while p.c. is on) If i just boot with the tv i have no accsess to that area. then when its there (the horz slider) i hit "apply" and nothing happens. And yes, i,ve set the same res numbers as my 6800gt also
and it says it will not work.( anger.....frustration....need to break somthing!!!)

Anyone else trying to run this card on a H.D.T.V.?

Count me on that list. I ordered my stuff yesterday and it should be coming on Monday. 8800GTS. I personally think, for all who have SLI GTX, by the time a game comes out that will actually use that it will be obsolete. Just my 2 cents.

They might be made obsolete by hardware advances, but when it comes to software needs, they will still be above and beyond what is required, which is why i felt comfortable purchasing another 8800 GTX... ofcourse, it helps to have a 24" monitor.

EDIT: Updated all the new owners, keep a lookout for bugs and post any that you find!

does anyone know why i can't enable the 16x AA with the control panel? it only goes up to 4x! I think I didn't uninstall the other drivers right so I have the same control panel for the onboard graphics! I have an 8800 GTS

I don't think NVidia allows a single card to reach 16x AA. I think it's just capped at 8x AA. Try using Driver Cleaner, install the latest drivers from NVidia's site and see if it enables it. I ordered my rig on the 26th and am still waiting for it to finish processing and get to my house so I can't tell you for sure what it allows you to do.

*Edit: Quick google search and I found this: http://www.hardforum.com/showthread....3&page=1&pp=20

Yeah a lot of people are experiencing the same problem. Just try working it slowly. Mine hangs as soon as I hit 666mhz on the core. We'll see what going on
