Download both Riva Tuner and ATItools... Riva seems to be better for most everyone, but ATI has the artifact scanner and temperature monitoring features...

Keep an eye on your temps through your test... you are hoping for less than 80 at all times... the lower the better... a bit higher is not an emergency but you would like to avoid it...

Set your clocks with Riva and then scan for artifacts with ATItool... if you have a nice PSU then up your core to say 585... scan... if you do 10 minutes without problems then switch back to Riva and up it 5 points... switch back to ATI and scan again... keep doing this till you get artifacts... then take a step back and up it as little as you can... if it scans clean then, switch back and up it an other little bit, as little as you can again... if that works then let the scan run for a long time... an hour at least... if it doesn't work then take a small step back and try a long scan again... keep taking tiny steps till you can run an hour clean...

(make sure and save it, you might also want to set it to kick in at start up)

then with that clock set you want to do the same with the memory... start at something like 900 if you have a nice PSU... do the same thing to your memory...

save your clock on RIVA... not ATI tool....

then go game with it on for a few hours straight... make sure and try to max out your game as much as it will let you while giving you good frame-rate...

if at any point your computer freezes that also means you set the clocks too high and you have to take a step back... try to avoid those as important files might get corrupted and you might loose your OS installation or other programs and or information...

Have fun!
