If i could pick up a dead gigabyte 7970 or something similar i could have all the excellent unlocked voltage of the stock model but the benefits of not having a computer that sounds like a vacuum cleaner... Maybe... Anyone tried it?

I snagged an Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme 7970 for $61 after shipping, best decision I ever made for a videocard mod. Even with the fans at 100% I can't hear them over my case ones.
