MSI or Gigabyte

Thread Starter
Hey Guys,

I am looking for a new motherboard for my i5 3570k. I have a Corsair H100i liquid cooler for this. I have decided to get one of these boards:

MSI Z77 Mpower
Gigabyte Z77X-UP4 TH
Asrock Z77 Extreme 6

Please suggest me the best board out of these. I want to overclock atleast to 4.6Ghz. I will be using my 2 670's in SLI on the board.

All 3 can get the job done but my vote goes to Gigabyte thumb.gif ...And if you don't need Thunderbolt, I recommend you buy the Gigabyte Z77X-UD4 thumbsupsmiley.png

Check it out this review... http://www.overclock.net/t/1353190/gigabyte-z77x-ud4h-review-and-overclocking

Out of the 3 you are considering, the UD4 offers the better overall design biggrin.gif IMO whistle.gif

I cannot choose the UD4 as its out of stock where I stay. I can only choose one of three mentioned above. So should I choose the Mpower or the UP 4TH or the Extreme 6. I have also heard that MSI does not support offset voltage. Is that going to be a deal breaker?

I am too much concerned as the Asrock and the MSI match the color scheme of my Zotac 670's (Yellow-Black).

Asus boards are not available. Out of stock. Moreover, Asus has the worst RMA service in India as it is handled by a third party vendor.

You have a Z68 board with an Ivy bridge processor. Are you even able to overclock that thing on a Z68?

For the unnecessary high cost & not being a triple SLI / Crossfire mobo, I would take Gigabyte UD4 or UD5 over that
but that's me & my 2cents.gif ... whistle.gif
