Gaming Laptop? - Page 4

Check out this site, I was going to get a Sager back in the day~ they've been around for a while but mostly unknown.

I just upp'd to a 2.33ghz core 2 duo, 2gb of ram, has a 7950gtx go 512mb video card and other stuff you can add/edit. I'd love to have it if I had the $~ if you really can't deal with a big case then this would probably be close to the best for now.

It's basically what I've got, but Killernotebooks mods it and puts in better components like 7200rpm harddrives, OCZ memory, etc... (the base box is a Clevo btw)

It will 3dMark06 around 5800, 3dMark05 around 10,000.. respectable for even a desktop.

Why spend that kind of money? This was cheaper than the alternative of 3 seperate computers. It replaced my office desktop, my old laptop for on the road, and my home gaming rig. Yes, you can build a single desktop cheaper, but not three of them easily. Now also keep in mind the software; I've got $5k of autocad, photoshop, XP Pro, and so on that can only be licensed to a single rig at a time (you want me to this software times 3?) In addition now I can play in my home study, family room, or even outside on the deck... I also 1 upped for the office setup since doing real work kinda sucks on a widescreen 17". I got a triplehead2go that is external and feeds three additional monitors.. nice big desktop running 3840x1024 resolution. It was a hell of alot cheaper for me at least even if you include the additional monitors and matrox box.
