Bold move. Congratulations.

I will probably not do this, too many Kickstarter projects I supported and want to play the Alphas/Betas already, but will keep the dose less. The excessive gaming days are (naturally) looong over for me anyway and fortunately gaming was always of lower priority for me compared to stuff like sport (I'm far more addicted to pushin' weight and runnin' my miles around the block than I ever was to gaming).
My "dilemma" was more about the fact that even the few hours I spent with gaming felt like a bit of a waste (even if I enjoy the game) and those people I knew that played no games appeared like being mentally free from that kind of entertainment demands/desires. It is probably the result of getting older and realizing how time becomes more and more valuable. I may slowly drift out of gaming altogether at some point or I (more likely) never will, but try to not conflict it with anything more important (even if it's doing nothing for a darn sec).

I have a kick ass rig(i5-2500k up to 4.0ghz, 2 4GB GTX 670s in SLI, 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM) with a 1440p display and I seem to not being gaming as much..then again I'm busier than ever. Lets hope the next generation of gaming change things.

A cheering thought for those feeling this way, I haven't really played any games for 18 months, an hour here and there but not every day some weeks I didn't even look at games. I finally stopped even looking to see what was coming out.
Then the other week I was youtubing for nothing better to do and came across a guide/playthrough on anno 2070 heard of it never looked, so after watching 7 hours of it (yes I got into the play through) I went a bought it and as of now 60 hours I have play it and anno 1404, last night I played Xcom enemy unknown all night. So moral of this I suppose is it's may take a while but finding the right game at the right time can bring all the fun of gaming back, so never sale your rigs

PoE has me hooked. Working on my 6th character now.

I didn't get tired if playing games, I just got tired of paying for crappy so-called AAA games. F that.

PoE is free (unless you buy micro transactions ).

I think what keeps us fresh and not burning out is to take a break and life sometimes forces us into those breaks, for myself my job keeping me away from things I enjoy for months and relationships and kids all keep me from really enjoying gaming so for the last few months I've been catching up with what I missed out. I just recently beat Crysis and Crysis warhead, I knew about it in 2007, but had no time and no way my system at the time could play it. I wen't from knowing the 6800 was the best card at the time around 2005 to now knowing the GTX600 series card's where the best now the 700 series. I can never see myself tiring of any gaming since there's always going to be something new to interest me.

I'm quite bored at playing games... I just enjoy upgrading my PC, and I just got this 1440p monitor last week. Most of my time I spend watching YT and checking OCN. smile.gif
