After a long period of quiet and calm, I return with the empty glass.
I want fill the glass with many wanting to improve the computer, looking forward to re-learn things (many) and especially eager to enjoy the WC again.
So I am strong enough to do the 2.0 version of the TJ11.
This project, unlike the previous one, we'll take it more calmly enjoying every moment without rushing.
SKETCHES MOD 2.0
Well now I know more or less how I want to do ........
Lower part, SR-1 480 & SR-1 360 (adjusting it ahead so that there is room between the cables and Psu)

As noted above, the SR-1 240 anchored at the bay and deposit in it (using a grid that can put the clamps of deposit) and SR-1 120 through the back exit.

Came the first of the packages!
Why AguaGraFX ? A thorn that tapeworm slope with the temperatures. Aesthetically the Bitspower Black Freezer are great but with a pitiful performance. So for the MOD 2.0, will go for the best of the best!

Good finishes of Nickel and the mirror effect!

AQUACOMPUTER RADIATOR BRACKETS 5.25[

The desire that I have to start but we will get to work when I have all the material, as before, in this version, do more cuts in the TJ11 (making broader which I already have too)
With zipping around to enjoy the show, which is what matters. This project will be more personalized!
I've been looking inside the block and taking measures

1 year ago that did not open my mini box of tools for PC! xD

WaZZ UP!

I just got the custom orders I had made to Coldzero!

CUSTOM RADIATOR GRILL 240. You will see two holes where the tank will be clipped!

My new CUSTOM COVER SLI BRIDGE.

Top COVER CUSTOM for 580Gtx AquaGrafX Aquacomputer are not yet ready, missing a few details.

BACKPLATES in red, to blend with the colors of Mod

Some SCREWS, PINS and CONNECTORS.

#4 ·
I just checked the covers, fit perfectly with the holes in the block. Excellent result.
He now wears matching screws, but not if I put the original gives Industrial and elegant touch.

I was checking leaks in one of blocks and everything is correct.
Here is the first GTX 580 with backplate block and placed.
The installation of the block along with the backplate was easier, I spent a good time, like a kid with a new toy. xD

No big deal, but for lack of time (work) I could make a hole.

I still customizing Aquacomputer, this time with the main logo MOD.
I tried to make transparent stickers, using the matte black background of acrylic covers, but were not very good and they looked too fingerprints on it.
So .......... stickers with glossy finish:

Who said Paracords?

#8 ·
My first contact, the truth better, besides I already got heat shrink ( about the diameter I wanted )

And this is already more serious with a little more experience:

The famous double single wires with 2 ends of most current psu's

But we suffered a percanse on a second cable, the 6 +2 PCI-EX, I left it a pin.
No choice but have to buy 18 AWG wires and pins ( so we give more utility to the Crimping Tool ).

Slowly, but moving! xD
We continue with the theme, today it was one of my Scythe Slip Stream Slim.

We cut and we sandpapered the edges one of the plastic grips.

Change the connector pin.

And voilà!

MORE STUFFS!
biggrin.gif

As there were no kits of DDR3 1600Mhz Dominator GT 6gb to join those already I have, without choice,
I had to catch those of 12Gb. Months I've been noticing that I'm short of ram, especially with ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS5 (64bit) and some games with mods like Skyrim. Regarding Mayhems be will be for aesthetic any more, since the one I have is too big and who knows if 99'99% pure silver, we will replace it.

Now I get the substitute for AX1200:

It's smaller than the AX1200, is appreciated when I place together with the Black Ice SR1 360, it will be easier to wire.
It shows the quality of construction is very robust.
What I like is the function of the fan after shutdown, which will run for a while to cool internal components, extending the life of them.

The texture of the paint, it's like the TJ11, but also, the connectors will match the color of the Paracords, Red & Black! Just perfect!

#10 ·
Well we have 3 wire 6 +2 PCI-EX.

Here, along with my elephant luck! xD

My notes.

Well, all that remain to finish the simplest but not least ( pumps, fans pending sata molex ......... etc )

Some bifurcations.

PCI-EX 6+2 ( x3 ) // 12 ATX ( x2 ) // 24 ATX.

Will the 360 + 480 rad fit in the bottom? Since I thought 240 +480 was max. I'm loving the stuff you got so far though, I hope that elephant gives you lots of luck on this build

Thanks for commenting! I had a 240 and a 480 under both SR1. Having a smaller psu than the AX1200, I estimate that the 360 will come without problems.
The 240 I will put in the bay with the deposit 5.25.

Yeah thats true, I tend to forget how big the AX1200 is. Love the sketchup designs btw, forgot to put that in last post

Also those waterblocks look really clean, I really love how they look!

Thanks!

I wanted to give them a personal touch ( 580's blocks ).
As Is, are great, but for the theme of the Mod, are rather poor.

Some more Sleeving Stuffs!
biggrin.gif

Theme SATA stock connectors, I do not like it, plus it is the type of connector that is difficult to sleeving.
Taking lots of HotSwap (TJ11) for now I do not plan to use them, so I made my own custom cables from zero with a typical long connectors.
I used AWG18 wires and I will take the 5-pin connector cable stock for supply.

Some extensions of 60cm for Nidec GT

Thieves 3 pin (with 2 connectors), the same ( extensions ) , the white connectors will be covered with heat-shrinkable.
I guess there will be no problem for the Lamptron Touch (30w per channel)

Set of cables!

I spent an hour sanding and prepared for a painting session. There are a couple of (L) that I left over a piece of furniture from Ikea, I think I will be good as plan B,
if I'm not convinced with the Aquacomputer Bracket Radiator.

Leak Checking remaining 2 blocks, cleaning and leaving it ready for installation. I was also testing the SLI connector parallel.

Good to see the 580's, they're still great cards, and deserve those lovely blocks!
Nice to see the wiring and sleeving techniques, and other fine details you've included in this build.
Excellent photos. Rep+

Thank you very much, both of you guys, for the encouragement.
The truth is that I do it for personal satisfaction more than anything else. I want to correct defects in the Mod 1.0 and improve things either temperature or aesthetics
.

Here the painting session.

Yesterday afternoon was the first batch of cleaning! Here some fittings, even lack for taking those who are in the radiators.
I cleaned them inside with milkweeds, with a side of hot distilled water with vinegar for cleaning and then immersed in distilled water.
Then dry them carefully and go
.

I've removed some of the hardwares inside of the TJ11, but still, it remains completely dismantle, to take out the SR-1 480 and SR-1 240.

After a year and seven months without cleaning the blocks! Aquacomputer block does not bother me at all, the Ekwb, however yes, the issue of quality

After seeing this, I stake will not use any dye at the moment. Silver and only distilled water nothing else.

Blocks Clean!

What I feared, as I cleaned, broke off pieces of Nickel. Above is the "" NICKEL IN "" assuming good lot.

We will see what will the block R3E, if it goes like this, we will make some changes in quality of materials.
From now on, no more Ekwb.

#20 ·
As I said, a late ass, between cleaning and assembly of the blocks and then leave home quickie:

Finally I have my triplets!
In person hits more visual appearance between blocks nickel, black pcb of the 580's and that touch of black & red covers! The colors are more intense.

Twin Connector and the ideal companion, matte black fittings.

#21 ·
Well, to comment that I have been able to clean the block R3E and my surprise, it was very good. It was ******* replace it in the motherboard.
I did not remember those 2mm plastic spacers that fit over the holes before screwing ........... xD
Well, after almost an hour of trying, I finally got it back in place.

The R3E also received cleaning with CONTACT CLEANER, we have the new 12Gb Dominator kits (waiting for a new block) and placed the first hose Mod2.0!

A small detail to hide the screws. Some Nuts, which also will serve me for later!

The first percanse was a **** of miscalculation on the radiator SR-1 120. The holes do not match the 120mm fans because spare a few mm on each side (total width 13.3 mm) and collides with aluminum platform above board connectors.
The only way to put it, is using a Fan Shrould, lest he collided with the platform.
But it has against it, would be very close to the output of the R3E block, hindering their union, nor fitting 90 °, sli tubes or with no fittings by its angle and narrow.
Above, obliterates 12v connectors on the motherboard, I'm interested as I have it clear, by issue of wired and aesthetics ...
So I'll have to replace it yes or yes, to not change the Loop that I have in mind.

So we'll leave it as is for a while and we will focus on other tasks, that much remains to be done.

Also I have thought, crimp pump wires and connect directly to the psu. The idea is to avoid yes or yes, all the ugly 4 molex connectors that are involved.
And more things that I have in mind and I'll show you once done!

#22 ·
Wazz Up Guys!

Today the thing was more in holy peace plan, but no less important. Taking advantage of the SR1-240 and dried after cleaning in the bathtub.
Mounting the radiator tank using a custom grill.

Throw the Nuts again!

Result of the loop:
90º rotary fitting, Adapter G1 / 4 Rotary 90 °, 20mm Extension, Multi-link adapter and Crystal Tube.

And the new SLI Cover.

#23 ·
From the Wednesday night passing almost all day yesterday, we spent cleaning up what was missing: TJ11, Pumps, 7 Nidecs, all fittings of the radiators.

On Thursday I was checking the positions and actions of the compartment between the psu and the radiators 360 & 480, will fit right and with enough space for wiring and move comfortably.

I have taken the time to sleeve cables of the TJ11.
Yes, in red, I think, would highlight much more on the black background and Carbon Vinyl.
In truth, they were factory sleeves, but hey, is already for harmony with others Paracords cables. For the USB cable, I used the 10mm I bought in HighFlow.

Ready also the hard disk cooler and ready for assembly.

Pumps crimped and sleeved! Ready to connect directly to the psu. As I said, the idea is to get rid of those ugly 4 molex connectors that are involved.

And I expand the hole in the 5.25 bay, I had already done, now just need sanding to make it very straight.

Ahhh, and the Lamptron, the same, directly to the psu!

#24 ·
Well, for lack of time for work, I have been meditating and the truth is that I do not like are the extensions connected to the 7 nidecs. Above the bulge it makes.

I wanted something cleaner, so I decided as I was, to make measure wires, fan by fan from the radiator to the Lamptron.

I have held with the same cable AWG 22.

And they are more clean and ready!
