[LG] LG Begins Sales of World's First Curved OLED TV - Page 5

Great!!

I just hope the industry pushes harder toward OLED first then 4K. We don't need crappy edge-lit LCD's with 4k res.

The curve feels like a real gimmick too, like they're just doing that because they can, not because it provides any tangible benefit.

Window size and DPI can be easily adjusted.

careful folks it doesn't say which way it curves worriedsmiley.gif

I think the most exciting aspect (hahaha pun?) of a curved TV would be wrestling for the optimal spot across from center.

Would you really feel the benefit of the curve in the home? wouldn't you be sitting too far away on your couch/bed for the curve to feel its effectively enveloping you?

Bolded are my own comments.

16:10 is even better when those "not-so-black bars" of 16:9 content is actually truly black. thumb.gif S-spline max upscaling is best for smother types of images while nearest-neighbor is the best for sharp pixelated computer graphics, such as the UI of older OSes like Windows 95.
