H50 [now] in Push/Pull - temps jumping up and down?

Hi...

So I recently built a SFF PC in a Silverstone SGO5, and, because I didn't realize there were only two fan headers on the Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe/WD mobo, I originally only had a single push fan blowing into the H50 I have setup on an i7-3770S. The temps were very consistent, idling at about 30 Celsius, even though the single fan was pushing through the radiator an then through my other [non-operating] fan at the time. Well, I just got a PWM Y Splitter from Amazon yesterday and hooked up the other fan; now both Gelid Solutions FN-PX12 fans are working in a push/pull on the H50 over the same split cable, but there seems to be a problem. The H50 CPU line is plugged into the second fan header on the mobo by itself. Anyways, the temps are now jumping up and down within a second anywhere from 46 to 29 Celsius and I can hear the fans ramping up and down when I see the temp get high for a second.

Also, this may have just been a hiccup, but Asus AI Suite II warned me for a second yesterday about the motherboard temperature being -1 Celcius below the normal temperature... not sure if that means anything, but it hasn't warned me since then. The motherboard temp seems to idle consistently at 26 Celcius.

Should I just take the second pulling fan off of the radiator? I thought it would help to keep it more cool, but I have no idea what the deal is... I also thought it would help by creating more positive air pressure inside the tiny case, as the only intake it gets is from the front, through the H50... the PSU draws its air from the inside of the case, too, so I figured push/pull would give it a little cooler air instead of it having to pull solely the heated air from the radiator and other inside sources.

Anyone have a clue? Here is the completed build for reference: http://pcpartpicker.com/b/BCo
