Here is where I'm at.

Alright just put the last coat of clear coat on and am going to let it dry overnight. Tomorrow I have the fun of taping off all of the black I just painted and making sure all the tape is perfectly even on all of the edges so that the red gets distributed perfectly around the border. If I make one mistake with that it is going to ruin the whole look of the side panel. Not going to lie, a little scared. Plus I have to pray that I put on enough paint and gave it enough time to dry so the painters tape doesn't rip off the black. Wish me luck!

So I woke up and took all the painters tape off the borders and it looks awesome. Sadly I'm going to need to let the paint dry for a couple more days before I can try putting painters tape on it. Here is how it looks. Came out pretty good, but the hard part is yet to come!

Alright guys so I started painting the primer for the red this morning, but then I got rushed out of the house so I'm going to have to spend some time finishing it up tonight. I really didn't want to have the painters tape on the black for too long, but now I'm just going to have to pray that the black was truly dry enough.

a great way to check if paint is dry is to find a duct tape roll and roll it on the paint pushing down on it. if any imprints are on it or anything of the like/ paint smear then it needs time. plus it shouldn't stick to the tape roll.
