How many coats of paint did you put on everything? I noticed you used white or grey as a primer. I might have to do that on my own, give things another coat.

Yea I went out and bought some grey primer and put two or three coats of it, then I put between 3-5 coats of the color I was using, and then I put 4 or 5 coats of clear coat so the paint wouldn't chip off. It took a while to do everything, but I'm really proud of how it is coming out.

Oh ok nice. Yea I may need to go out and buy a couple more cans of the paint I used. I want it to look flat, Like a matte color, not glossy and shiny, but I dont want it to look uneven or get chipped either.

Yea you can go out and get some matte clear coat paint so it doesn't look glossy or anything.

Oh really now? They make a clear coat in matte? I will definitely be looking for that this weekend.

I think I overlooked it if you said so, but what were you doing for the cables?

Yea I seen it at walmart a couple days ago. As for the cables, I'm having a friend who is also part of this forum sleeve my cables in red, white, and black. His name is Chino1974 and he is a great guy with a lot of years of experience with all of this stuff. If you ever wanted your cables sleeved just feel free to message him and he can help you out.

Alright so time for a quick update. Like I said before I got some new fittings so I have just been playing around with those and getting all the tubing the perfect length. I also mounted my SSD's behind the motherboard since I got rid of all my drive bays. Enjoy the pics!

I actually just realized that I can't use a UT60 280mm rad in push/pull because the resevoir sits about 40mm too high and prevents me from being able to use a 360mm rad up top so I am just going to have a 280 rad that is 45mm thick with a set of fans pushing cold air into the case. That way I can still use the 360mm rad up top.

If I start to struggle too badly with my cables I'll definitely give him a holler. Sleeving the cables was initially my only project i had, Painting these pieces was actually a last minute addition haha.

Yea man it definetly gives some personality to the build. I'm so happy I got a white case because it allows you to see all of the components really well and it makes my red, white, and black theme look really good. Now the sleeved cables will highlight everything and make certain things stand out.

Hey time for an update. I'm currently leak testing and bleeding while waiting for my cables to finish being sleeved. I just did a little cable management today and painted my rear fan filter black. Looks like I'm done painting and now it is time to completely focus on the hardware aspect of the build.
Here are some pics with the Switch 810 side panel on

Some cable management before I get my PSU cables back

The black fan filter

I put part of the monsoon foam fittings holder on the bottom of the pump to stop the vibrations

and here is right before the leak test

Next update will probably be when I get the sleeved cables back.

Everything is looking really good! I had a question of your opinion. If I paint my fans, which part should I paint? The fins or frame?
