Looking for Intel X79 Mobo - Page 10

Since those are worst case scenarios it's pointless to go for a 100-150w safe side thing ... IMO.
Unless you're getting one of those badly rated ones or a other-than-seasonic quality PSU (Superflower quality is also top notch)

Well, you know much about PSU here, but in my area i am not sure i may find the best you recommended me, then i can't be sure other models/brands may do a great job, i don't want to risk my PC, for now i am happy with 750 i have, so i think i may get same wattage or similar wattage but a better brand they may tell me.

Ok, my friend bought and brought the mobo after hard long time searching for it, and he told me he saw a cooling system which is Corsair H100 and they told him it is one of the best, so i told him it is the one i told him before, i may try to buy it tomorrow if i go there or maybe he can bring one for me, so in this case i don't think he will tell me to go with 1000W anyway, but he found good models for power supply but one is 850W and one is 900W, 750W is same model i have but it is not good enough even it is doing the job, the prices are all reasonable, so what do you think i should do here?

At stock, your system draws no more than <300W, but if you over volt the CPU+GPU you should look for 500W or 600W max for SLI .

What kind of selection do you have available? Link to a site perhaps?

I will keep that in mind, thanks.

Well, i don't know what do you mean about selection? I will link if i can understand your question and i don't know the selection he told me about yet, here they don't say the brand name, just just tell the numbers, such us i7/680/H80/59j8 and so on and we are lost with brands.

I will ask him the full details about all items he found, then i can have searching for information and whatever i need on the net later.

By that I mean where are you buying your hardware from? I don't know where you are located and what kind of selection of PSU's is available to you. If you are in the US, then www.newegg.com would be ideal as they feature a wide selection of PSU's.

No, i am not in USA, and i was looking a lot on this site, but at the end i went with buying things locally, the shipping and 5% customs duty on $270 and above items will make it not a better idea or cheaper or more save, so i have to see what is available in my country, and the big market city for everything in my country is Dubai.

WOW, no doubt why i wanted to get that Rampage 4 Extreme [and maybe other Asus motherboards too] so badly, the box itself is decent, awesome, i feel happy even to have that box without using the mobo, elegant and can carry as a bag, not my Gigabyte white box that is not look elegant and no hand carry handle.

Anyway, what is the OC key do? when it is needed? I will read about it somewhere but sure i can get the answer here.

I will install the motherboard maybe by Sunday because today i am busy and tomorrow Friday is holiday or off in my country, Saturday not sure, but i hope i may find the cooling system tomorrow or after tomorrow so i will have my rig in batter shape, lol haha

Thanks for all answers/help and don't feel sorry about my budget, most important is i be happy at the end, and the second rig will see the light maybe next month or in July depends on my mood and situations.

Why are you even on X79? Asus is not the best in fact no company is. Preference and features is what it comes down to...
