Yea thats what I came back to say, the ati was doing great. I guess Im stuck going and buying it again tomorow to confirm theres something wrong with the 7800.

Anyways ran a #8 once and didnt end up with any errors but for #5 it was 7 passes and 114errors. Ill leave #8 on while I watch office and stuff.

I would try different RAM before messing with the video card.

Weird, I restarted my pc 2 or 3 times and each time I did a memtest again, it cant seem to find any errors.
I let it do #5 twice and it didnt find even one error. After that I let it go from 1 to 6 and it still didnt find any errors...
I dont get it, is it the motherboard? Why would the memtest show errors once and not the next time? Why did the 1300xt Pro work better than the 7800gs? I didnt do anything to the pc after I changed the two cards. I guess tomorow Ill know for sure after I get the 1300xt and try it out.

Maybe the memtest probably failed to do it correctly that one time, it says on its website that there is a chance it comes out incorrectly. Maybe it has something to do with me taking the 512mb ram out and putting the 1g in its place, I then tested it and it came out fine and I put the both back in their original places and they then came out fine, so maybe I originaly put them in incorrectly(didnt push them in enough).

I'm just grasping at straws here, but does the game in which you're experiencing issues use SM3.0 (are you using HDR in-game)? If it is and you are using AA that may be your problem (pre-8xxx nvidia cards can't do HDR/SM3.0 + AA).

AA is disabled, and I have no idea what sm3.0 and HDR are.

DX9.0c uses SM3.0 (Shader Model 3.0), and many newer games use it. Some games let you enable it, in others it's automatic (it detects if you have a SM3 capable card or if not goes down to SM2.0). If you have AA off it shouldn't be a problem then.

DC Output..+5V....+3.3V......+12V.....+12V....-12V.....+5SB

Min.............0.5A......0.5A.......1.0A......1.0 A......0A.......0A

+5W; +3W combined max. Output: 150W
Gotcha! Your 12V rail has only 15A. It will take at least 18A, preferrably 20A for a 7800GS. I'm quite sure about this because I also have one. But it also doesn't rule out your card might have some damage. If you have a friend with a more powerful PSU, you could try it out and see

My PSU has 33A on the 12V

His PSU has two 12V rails. That PSU should be enough for his card, unless it went bad over time.

I couldnt find a psu with anything above 18A...

Anyways, got an antec 550Watt Neo HE. It has 18A on all 3 12V. I installed it and tried Company of Heroes and it made no difference.

So I also bought the 1300xt pro, and I can say this without a doubt that Company of heroes ran much much much smoother than with the 7800.
I even turned on AA and the card started running it like the 7800 would, except without AA.

I didnt get ram though.

This is 3dmark grade:
1300xt Pro
6591
6772
44332

7800gs
5913
6848
41305

The 1300xt pro was overclocked a little, I tried without oc but 3dmark crashed... 6228 was gpu rating without overclock.

and fastwrites was off.
