Handling is a little weird, but the game is OK.

I don't know why, but I was expecting this to be my "forza/GT5" on pc. Obviously, that was stupid on my part. The game is arcade in every sense of the word. There's a ridiculous amount of work that was done on social media/sponsors, but the handling is garbage. Every corner is a drift. Also, I'm only seeing 40% @ most and usually lower SLI scaling. It feels like the original NFS: MW and that was garbage.

from a user on metacritic:

Now, in short my problems with Grid 2:
- it feels less real, both in terms of racing meta world and racing itself
- there is no money, you can't buy cars, you get them from sponsors trough events which feels weird
- instead of money you have a fan base, and you do not manage anything about your carrier, feels like you are some attention whore who is spin by managers

I want forza/gt as well I loved all gran turismos until the last and i love all forza'a even horizon I thought was a lot of fun.

Grid to is fun for a pick up the controller and have a race (before i get blasted my controller is plugged in to my pc not console) but thats about it.

Grid 2 is not meant to be compared to Forza or Gran Tursimo. Grid 2 is simply an arcade racer with a couple to a few sim-like features. If you're a die-hard sim racer, you shouldn't have wasted your time with this game in the first place.

Patch was released and fixed my stutter and the dodgy voip. I played for a couple hours last night...I'm gonna get my foolish preorder moneys worth out of it!

Spent about 90mins playing GRID 2, was not very impressed with the feel of it. It does look pretty though.
Lost my original GRID 1 cd a while ago, so Purchased GRID 1 on GMG for £1.99 and have now spent just under 6 hours playing it, and im going back for more. biggrin.gif
Driving in GRID 2 just doesn't feel the same, i mean sometimes its like driving on ice and then it feels like driving in sand. such a weird feel to it compared to the original.
plus no real weight to the cars, just slow turning response instead for certain vehicles.
I have enough need for speed games to play, so i probably wont be playing GRID 2 again until i get bored with NFS as far as arcade racing games go.
just my opinion, if i hadn't have loved GRID 1 soo much i probably could have liked the new one far more.
Its not a 'crap' game, but it feels like it doesn't live up to the expectations some of us had for it.
