g100s horrifying squeakyness problems. - Page 3

I got the mouse this week. I have the same exact squeakiness issue demonstrated in this video and in this thread. It's very annoying. I keep fixing it by pressing strongly from many angles with a loose finger on the mouse button. But it keeps coming back. Does anyone have a permanent fix for this issue other than taking it to the warranty?

In the first two, the squeaking happened no matter what, the current unit only squeaks scrolling up. Even the buttons which squeaked varied between the first two that I returned.
Logitech mouses from mx300 to g400 uses the same exact mouse wheel system which tbh isnt all great. I wouldn't be surprised if they continued the latter. most people who are used to razer/steel/roccat mousewheel would complaint. I've stripped g1, g3, g5, g400 and a normal logitech desktop mouse, all using the same design. They do feel abit cranky but they do last very long

I owned the g930, and g110. The 930 was supposed to be 7.1 surround, and was only okay. The 110 is gaming keyboard and is a nightmare. It doesn't work with some motherboards to get into bios, only until windows boots, and it has serious issues related to it. It has even had specific steam bugs related to this specific board. There software used to be awful but has gotten better with time. Driver support is lacking behind and most stuff can't even update firmware. I threw them out a long time ago, and just recently decided to never look back and in the future never buy a product from them again. I've sold all my logitech stuff except my thx certified 2.1 speakers which are pretty good, and sound awesome, so i guess i can't complain there. I believe they are the zx series, supposed to be high grade , like there new non wear products but they are awful as well. I've decided to try corsair and have never been happier. The new k70 and k65 are absolutely amazing, and perform without flaws, I can find no issues with the keyboard at all, the mouse has the sniper button which is in a bad place, but the mouse performs great so I let that slide. These peripherals have been the best i have ever tried to date, and corsairs software has gotten even better than it used to be.

If you know logitech personally back then, you wouldn't get their "gaming" headset in the first place. Gaming headset is not logi's forte. Keyboard is more like a hit or miss. I did own a PS/2 keyboard that able to boot bios but a usb from them won't boot into bios. If you had known how a virtual 7.1 headset work, you wouldn't buy those in the first place. I do agree they need to step up on their drivers, I dont very much like their software since G3 era.

Gaming headset = bad cans + bad mic + bad price. Never buy one from any gaming company....

As for virtual surround it can be done decently and while it won't match a surround speaker system it can definitely match one of those awful little headsets filled with tiny drivers. Especially if you bought analog and can choose your surround solution instead of being stuck with whatever was on the USB headset.
