Exactly. RAGE has vastly improved since GTA IV came out, people kept saying it was a bad port but they seemed to forget GTA IV had issues at first due to it on the consoles too.

Fixed that for you, they made what amounted to a tech demo using RAGE

I severely doubt it's ever going to not happen, they do this all the time.

Were you around for the GTA III PC release? It ran like utter crap, even on high-end rigs at the time...GTA VC did a bit better and GTA SA was vastly improved. I bet that GTA V will run better than IV by far.

So yeah throughout the game i didnt shoot at police i just ran away and started thinking of new smart ways to survive.
I had the opposite experience in a way, GTA SA captivated me and I've beaten it a few times now, but spent most of my hours just driving or flying around randomly...I tried to get into GTA IVs story but found it boring and a lot of the characters boring too, and ended up just getting in bigger and bigger cop chases.

Considering RAGE is also the engine for Midnight Club I imagine that Rockstar has ripped the vehicle control, etc straight from that. Seriously, I can't wait...It sounds so far like they've gotten the best bits from MCLA, GTA SA and GTA IV plus a bunch of extra features. This is the most excited for a game I've been since GTA SA. (When I was regularly pulling all-nighters just to hear some news more quickly)
