Okay kinda bad news. 4.6 @ 1.208 = prime 95 stable... not so much arma 3 alpha stable. (the game I play) it fails to start 2/3rds of the time and knocking it back to 4.5 and arma 3 runs fine. Then again... id have errors in prime 95 before when I was working to these settings and arma 3 still ran fine and didn't fail to start... :-? I wont try pushing anymore voltage just to stabilize arma 3 at 4.6

you wont get more FPS playing Arma @ 4.6 than you would at 4.5Ghz... raise the volts to 1.28v and it should stabilize..

hello,
I'm new.I have the same cpu with scythe mugen 2 rev.b.What are your settings?
I have 4340MHz (42x103) and cpu core 1.284V, Ram 1378. Overclocked with gigabyte EasyTune6.My max. temp. with intel burn test(10 times at maximum)) is 95 Celsius.
Is that good?
Thanks.

and ur asking him to downvolt... hes already at 1.208v.

OP i suggest trying 1.225v. should stablize it.

i wouldnt say his chip is golden. just good. my 3570k runs 4.5 at 1.2v all day and i could run 4.6 but its slightly instable at that voltage.

but then again i run 5ghz at 1.4v...

but back on topic.

also op for temps like they say you should probably reseat. you might need to repaste and since ur living in a desert it likely drys up faster. or you didnt seat it right the first time.

with my hyper 212+ i got it pretty much perfect the first time (wheh). i liked using the line method of applying paste for the 212. to fill the gaps.

remember dont to use to much paste.

95c is rather hot.. I'd say try 42x100. ~1.2v should be enough for 4.2Ghz, maybe you can go even lower. smile.gif
