Yes, but first of all, i wanna just try and see... until that...are only assumptions and reviews by a few privileged biggrin.gif only words for now, better to see something with my own eyes

They won't gain performance from frame metering, it's going to take resources to meter. So expect a lesser max FPS and probably a higher min. I'm very curious to see how this plays out, because Nvidia already does this so AMD is stepping into a new area.

If you use V-sync, triple buffered or not, and you don't notice any input delay which makes moving the mouse an unpleasant experience, then you need a lobotomy. I have NEVER used v-sync, ever. It completely sucks. I can live with tearing and for most games use console commands to limit the FPS. (i.e fps_max).

Some console ports were completely unplayable with v-sync. Dead Space anyone?. V-sync literally gave a 1 second mouse lag making just looking around impossible.

Thank you, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that was ridiculous. I really don't understand how people can't notice this stuff. vsync input latency is typically much worse to me than even microstutter on my old serups.

Some games have really really bad tearing without vsync, even when barely moving the mouse.

After watching that nvida-pcper video I'm trying games with v-sync off for a while

I use Vsync all the time and a Cap of 59fps as it reduces the input delay in some games, however i can live with input delay because i just cant live with tearing.
Different strokes for different folks.

Are you kidding me? Prey was the worst game ever made. I bought it for 5 bucks. I want it back. Frame tearing was mitigated by spirit-hacking, ease of noob play and useless, non-game related puzzle solving.

Frame tearing in Prey? Really? You must think Rage is a masterpiece. And you pre-ordered Colonial Marines.

I just do not like Prey. Who talks about Prey? How is an 8 year old game even relevant to this thread?

I've been replaying Quake 2 for the fun of it. I'm going to complain about the graphics?

Crysis 3 looks sooo much better than Quake 2.confused.gif

LOL, my reply was about tearing, the quote i was replying to was about tearing, so the context was about tearing, nothing to do with how old a game is or if a game is any good, but its clear your hate for a game is capable of making you completely miss the point.

When i can be bothered to play PREY past the intro when the aliens first come and suck people up from the BAR then i will make up my own mind to what the game is to me personally.

Maybe if i mention tearing in BF3, Queue someone who hates BF3 coming in and going off on a tangent.
