Sounds great. I also hate using a mouse in UEFI. The beta version on my X79-UP4 is irritatingly slow, glitchy and inconsistent. Sure is a beta, but it also is the only version that works properly. I sure hope they get their act together soon.

I have that board too and its gotta be one of the worst UEFis Gb has put on a board lol. Their Z77 UEFi is much better and the next gen is ever better.

Nice, Sin.
Any chance you are going to do an (early) Z87-UD5H review? biggrin.gif That's probably going to be my board of choice.
Why is it important how the bios looks, as long as the interface makes sense and not lacking features? I personally wont care about anything else than how the MB looks rolleyes.gif

Do Gigabyte release their Top Board first or Low to Mid Range Boards?

I dont think so. If you want nice UEFI just dont expected it from Gigabyte. Asus had it since P67. I was stuck with a crappy Z68X-UD4. Got the Z77X-UD5H hopping that Gigabyte finally has a nice UEFI and it unusable. I still have to use the keyboard.

the mouse is quicker and smoother in this new one, mostly due to the fact that there is no more 3D mode. What is wrong with the UD5H UEFI? The mouse only? That stupid 3D mode was all just marketing and no one really used it from what they gathered, so finally they got rid of that lumpy boggy crap.

Also the Z68X boards were never designed for the UEFI, however it requires a UEFi for ivy bridge oc and so they tied to make a basic uefi for those boards, which sadly didn't work well either.

I would expect to see a lot more new UEFIs

Well I am very happy with the support Gigabyte have given for my board, a Z68XP-UD4. I didn't have a UEFI bios when I bought it, but they have added it, and have released many, many updates (latest version in U1L, so L is the 12th update).
