Yeah, I've worked with several Z77 boards from Gigabyte, and the UEFI on them are much better than my UP4. Tha one is a PITA, and never seems to get an stable update. I think the best option is to sell the board and forget it ever existed. It's a shame though, I really like the IR3550 powerstage on it, runs really cool.

the new boards also have the IR power stages, but the IR3553 which are the 40A variant, they also run pretty cool. the 8 phase son the -OC is with the IR3553 and i run it without a heatsink when doing Ln2, even on air it doesn't get very hot even at 5ghz.

I'm not surprised, on my UP4 the heatsink for the VRM:s doesn't even get lukewarm. I really like the IR power stages smile.gif
