X850XT memory overclocking

Thread Starter
I've heard that the X850XTs run tight memory timings, and thus run slower than the memory's rated speed of 1200mhz DDR. Does anyone know the stock timings for the ram, so that I can loosen the timings and overclock a little better? (I am hitting a wall at 1200)

Hello

I believe the only way that you can increase the operating frequency of the samsung modules on the X850XT is to add more voltage through them via a volt mod. Saying that though I did not try lossening the timings off on my X850XT to verify that this is the case

This is what I have so far, they are 1.5ns chips, capable of running 1333Mhz. There has to be a reason why we cannot bring them up to that speed.

According to samsung's data sheet, the memory chips are being fed enough voltage (2.0v)

You can loosen the memory timings from the bios trough Rabit, altough its not recommended doing so.
