I may be thinking that you obviously want me to run out of Vram... i will only go as far as downloading the propriety packs for Crysis 2 mate, i also mentioned that i do not have C3, but i have played it at 1080p on my system without any issues, but it was not maxed out.

No, I want to continue to have a proper discussion before the thread gets closed for spam cleanup.

The point is, the games you tested aren't exactly the most graphically demanding anymore. There are so many people that mod the snot out of skyrim it's not even funny, so it's a perfectly legit reason for more vram. I for a fact ran out on my 480 and I upgraded. Simple as that - the extra power from the 7970GE is very nice of course too.

Crysis 2 w/ maldo pack is also very common and memory heavy, but yet a perfectly legit test as well. Even run Max Payne 3 w/ 8x AA - it says right on the main game screen "2010mb needed"

I have to go buy or torrent Skyrim which is a terrible game, then download 500 mods then see if it runs out of Vram.....

And i thought folk had brains.

Your constant slinging of insults only goes to show that you are too immature to hold a conversation without reverting to childish jokes. Not only that you just mentioned you may have to go torrent skyrim, good job you know, following site policy and all.

For the sake of those of us who like to hold normal conversations without spamming the thread, please don't post thousands of videos / screens. Thanks.

well you are the one declaring 2GB is enough

then you try to back your claim with games that do not stress VRAM helpinghand.gif

It is game dependant on the amount of VRAM you have. 2GB is starting to limit performance in certain games from my experience and benches and yes... at 1080p. Just because a game, for example eats 1.8GB of VRAM does not mean the game would not run better on 3GB. Surely larger available VRAM overhead will help with performance as with system ram?

Depends, one monitor, triple monitor...
For one monitor it IS enough tongue.gif
For more, well depends on what game, no you can't play Crysis 3 on 3 monitors ... tongue.gif
So 50% disagree, 50% agree tongue.gif
Well put it this way. Would you buy a card with 2gig today ? NO rolleyes.gif
post #276 of 374
Disagree,

PC games are made to be backwards compatible (for the most part). Will you be able to max a game with 1 gig, probably not, but it would be enough to play on low settings and still enjoy the game(if it is decent and not just eye candy).

I like how you swing things to your liking to paint me in a bad picture, i broke no site rules, but i guess i must have in your eyes, because bias is at play.

I never torrent games... and this was the point i was trying to make, but i guess typed words do not show their meaning very well.

Additional GPU horsepower is nice, this is not being discussed however.. Vram is.

I am being immature? i am having a multiple idiotic conversation with trolls/ clueless/ large headed people, i am unsure of what you want me to say in order to make you understand....

Words written are harder to understand than spoken ones.

I cannot help if i hurt you with words.

The games that came out i have mentioned or do not own..... so your point?

And the majority hardly even touch my GPU, let alone any larger ones.

I really should stop feeding you.
